Music and Art I would like to display my art at O'Niell's Pub. What are your policies for your artists and who do I contact? Any local artist is encouraged to display their art at O'Niell's Pub. Art is displayed for one month, during which we host an Artist's Reception so the public can meet the artist. Contact art08@oniells.com to set up an interview. I'm interested in performing at O'Niell's Pub. What kind of music do you use and who do I contact? We offer live music on Saturdays from 10pm-1am and Sunday from 4p-7p. Each day represents a separate genre: Blues/Jazz/Rock on Saturday, and Irish/Celtic/Folk/Bluegrass on Sunday. We feature only local artists. Contact music08@oniells.com to set up an interview and a CD review. E-mail Lists I signed up for your e-mail list, but have never received any e-mails. What gives? O'Niell's Pub sends out updates with promotions and other items of interest to its customers every few weeks. If you have signed up for our e-mail list but have not received e-mail, it could be for a couple of reasons. (In either case, we invite you to sign up again by clicking here.) (1) If you signed up on one of our sign-up cards, we may not have been able to read your handwriting. Of course, we're not making any comments about anyone's penmanship (or penwomanship!) but we have run into a few that we simply cannot read. (2) You may be a victim of a bit of overzealous spam filtering. We certainly understand the need for spam filters these days, but they can also cause problems -- and unfortunately, we have no way of knowing when our e-mails are being rejected by someone's spam filter. If you think this might be the case, we can offer a couple of suggestions: (a) be sure to check your spam or junk mail folder to make sure that our e-mail has not been sent there, and (b) if your filtering software provides a whitelist, add oniellspub@oniells.com to that whitelist. Pub Policies Can I bring my dog with me when I visit your patio? The "dogs on the patio" question is a difficult one, in which we have had to balance our love of animals against our responsibility to our guests. While we would love to be able to accommodate those who want to bring their dogs to the patio, the liability issues prevent us from doing so. Most dog owners are very responsible and would take care to ensure that their dog did not cause any problems. Unfortunately, there are always a few people who would bring more aggressive dogs with them, and still others who might bring a more mellow dog but not keep their dog under control. While we love dogs, we would not want to see any guest (or guest's dog) threatened or injured by another guest's dog. Unfortunately, we have no way to guarantee the safety of customers or their pets, so the only viable solution is to say no to all dogs on the patio. Will O'Niell's go non-smoking when the Dee Johnson Clean Indoor Air Act goes into effect on June 15, 2007? As of June 15, 2007, the interior of O'Niell's is non-smoking. Our patio is half smoking and half non-smoking. Are minors allowed in the pub? By law, no one under 21 is allowed in the establishment without parent or legal guardian. We allow minors as long as they are accompanied by (and sit with) a parent or legal guardian. We recommend that all minors leave by 11pm (open to exceptions). By law, minors must leave by midnight. |
