It's not a bar and it's not a
restaurant; it's a pub -- and it's MY pub. It's not dark and there are
no TV's. Nothing to distract from the relaxed conversation with family
and friends. A comfortable and natural environment without the hype and
artificial glitz of the trying-too-hard-to-be-a-commercial-success
place. Thanks Rob, for the honesty.

You don't have to travel to Ireland to experience a true Irish
Pub. Just come to O'Niells for music and company on Sunday
afternoons. There are families, people singing, children dancing,
singles, couples young and old, a true representation of the wonderful
neighborhood Rob moved into. A great time is enjoyed by
all. You would swear you were in Dublin, but for the Scenic
Sandia Mountains viewed from the patio.
Come by, have a pint of "Red", and treat yourself to an authentic Irish Pub.

We have been patrons of O’Niell’s Pub for years and
consider it a “home away from home”. Why?
It’s the warm, friendly, environment one senses as soon as you
enter. The smiles, the friendly greeting, the genuine warmth, and
the occasional hug. From Rob to the managers to the super
wait staff, the bartenders, and the chefs, they are like family.

O’Niell’s pub has not only the best “bar food”
in Albuquerque, but I would argue that the quality of their food
surpasses many of the more prestigious restaurants in town! Their
chili cheese fries are excellent, and their burgers are always cooked
exactly how I order them. Other restaurants in town refuse to
cook the burger medium-rare, but O’Niell’s comes through
every time! O’Niell’s beer selection is great, and
there happy hour features excellent beer and well drinks at budget
prices. Where O’Niell’s really stands out, though, is
the staff. The servers are always friendly and professional, even
when they are obviously very busy with the large crowds that frequent
the pub. Thank you, O’Niell’s, for serving
Albuquerque good food, good drinks, and good times!

We get a night out every once and a while ~ away from the angst of a 14
year old teenager ~ and inevitably we pick O’Niell’s! We
both agree on the great food to share and a much needed pint or two. It
helps that the fabulous O’Niell brothers (Rob ~ the owner and Ron
~ his fabulous contractor brother) have created a place that is pubbish
on the inside and Nob Hillish on the outside (patio). Thanks for
reopening and giving us our Wings and Mixed Greens and Veggies (salad
sans iceberg lettuce) fix, along with a fabulous selection of beer! May
the luck o’ the Irish continue to bless O’Niell’s!

Greetings, friends & neighbors!
I would like to share some of my reasons for lovin' the pub at O'Niell's!
First and foremost, it's the place to go on Sundays to spend time with
good friends (the wait-staff as much as your buddies!) and to hear
Celtic bands! Yes, there are some folk-styles and some bluegrass,
but as long as there's real Celtic music, you'll always have my vote!
Also, O'Niell's has been the means to connecting me with a band that
helped me complete my book! The audio version of my new novel,
The Alliance: Book One of the Faeltheon, was released this summer,
along with the hardcover book. The music the publisher found to
put in the background as the credits were read was not Celtic, and my
book is, being set in ancient Wales! So, one Sunday evening at
O'Niell's the band Fonn Sona was playing some lovely piping tunes, so I
went up and asked them if they had a CD and would they mind me using
one of their tunes in the audiobook. Well, they hadn't a CD yet,
but on the spot offered to record a short piece for me! The
publisher loved it as much as I did!
Long and short of it is that their tune suited the book exactly and is the score used at the beginning of the audiobook!
Sincerely, Michele Yardumian

I have yet to encounter anything but friendliness and cooperation from
Rob and the O'Niell's staff. The high quality service O'Niell's has
offered remains constant, from the days at the original location, to
Uptown and now back to Central. Special occasions, patio reservations,
parties of however many were always welcomed with a competent,
personable and friendly staff. And it is so nice to see several of the
O'Niell's "kids" return. Of course, the excellent food and vast
beverage selection certainly complements the always professional staff.
Thanks Rob!

I live in Phoenix. You
would think I could find a great little "Pub" in Phoenix to frequent,
but unfortunately, I come to Albuquerque to get my "Pub fix!"
O'Niell's is a great place to come for the food, atmosphere and fun. I
love the Black and Bleu burger, salads and pasta specials. The soup is
always wonderful, too. And whenever I need a chili fix, the chili
cheese fries fit the bill!
I love taking my college age kids and their friends to O'Niell's. It is
age friendly to singles and families. And everytime I am there, I
see old friends from when I lived in Albuquerque.
O'Niell's, keep it up!

When my friend Nick and I walked into O'Neill's Pub, we were skeptical
of new bars. We had been long time patrons of a local joint down the
street from O'Neill's that had recently been shut down. All our
skepticism was put to rest when the friendly staff welcomed us and
treated us as friends. We became what I would call a regular, 1 to 2
trips a week. We earned our pint glasses in what I would consider to be
record time, and had i not moved out of state, I would still be
frequenting the pub, as my friend is. I could go for a Black and Tan
with some Fish and Chips!
